Sensitive Situations & Referrals

While supporting students in academic advising, the conversation can sometimes lead to other, more sensitive topics beyond the scope of an advisor. In these situations, there are many support offices on-campus to which advisors can refer and/or connect. Advisors are reminded that all university employees have Title IX responsibilities and to contact 911 for any emergency situations. For other, non-emergency scenarios, the following campus resources can be of assistance to advisors.
